Bob’s Mission: Help Communities Design and Adopt  the Best Youth Basketball Programs
The U.S. has lost its edge at the highest levels of play – our current system IS broken.  We need to build new approaches from the ground up, starting with our kids.  Skills HAVE to be our Top Priority!
3 v 3 Play Is the ESSENTIAL Foundation
for Skill Development

5-on-5 full court basketball at elementary school ages invariably means 2 to 4 kids dribble and handle the ball a disproportionate amount of the time.  The less developed players with fewer gross motor skills end up on the periphery with few ball-handling opportunities.

Just watch any kids’ game. I’ve watched thousands!  On any team of 5 kids playing, the most skilled player - who is 20% of the team on the floor - may get up to 75% of the ball handling opportunities, while the least skilled players may get 10% or less.

Plus, with too many coaches bent on winning, even the better skilled players get the wrong focus – tactics and even show-boating versus true team play.
