About Bob Bigelow

Over the past two decades Bob’s groundbreaking research and involvement has resulted in:

• Co-authoring the watershed book Just Let the Kids Play
• Over 600 presentations to youth sports leagues, universities, and
community organizations
• Expert panelist and board member for several organizations dedicated to bettering youth sports
• Numerous print, broadcast and media appearances

“When I was a child, the vast majority of my sporting activities were in playgrounds and sandlots.  Now the majority of youth sports activities are organized and administrated by adults… The biggest problem in organized youth sports is very simple to explain – too many adults who want to compete through children.”
Bob Bigelow, CNN Sunday Morning

A standout at University of Pennsylvania under Hall of Fame Coach Chuck Daly, Bob’s talent brought him to play for the NBA’s Kansas City Kings, Boston Celtics and San Diego Clippers.  Since that time, Bob has conducted hundreds of talks and hosted over 2,000 clinics around the country to improve how coaches coach, and to develop greater skills in youth athletes.
